The ÅngströmLap® Ultimas-P New Final Polish Lapping Film maintains the shape of the ferrule and improves the return loss and surface quality. Final Polish Films use silicon dioxide abrasive material to polish the ceramic ferrule and glass fiber near the same rate. This final lapping film generates positive fiber height.
The tightened tolerance of +/-20 is surprisingly easy to achieve with the advanced final polishing lapping films now available. The Ultimas lapping films let you change the height of the fibers you make. You can also adjust the pressure, speed, and pad hardness for your production facility. The 5" disc is the standard size for the Domaille APM-HDC-xxxx Series, Seikoh Giken SFP-5XX Series and Ultra Tec UT-8812 or UT-8808 Polishing Machines.
